before His Traditional Days of Silence
at the Beginning of the New Year

Maharishi Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, gave the following inspiring talk at the beginning of the days of silence that he traditionally takes at the beginning of each new year. After this, the assembly of Rajas, led by Maharaja Nader Raam, then collectively adjourned to begin the days of silence. This talk was broadcast live around the world via satellite and Internet on the Maharishi Channel.

Maharishi: ‘Jai Guru Dev. Jai Guru Dev. Jai Guru Dev. Very fortunate day—very very fortunate day for all mankind. The time has stepped on to a new bright destiny of mankind. Maharaja Nader Raam, inspiring us from his silence, to offer our selves to the lotus feet of Shri Guru Dev* by Puja** today, which is going to be a wide gate for silence to administer the forthcoming bright destiny of mankind.

‘We are offering ourselves to the lotus feet of Shri Guru Dev through every offering now, and for every offering, we are wanting to offer in terms of the Vedic expressions. Maharaja Raja Raam's Minister of Finance, please invite the Vedic Pandits from India to help us through the Vedic Mantras that will take our offering to the lotus feet of Shri Guru Dev.

‘Dr Feldman, please invite the Vedic Pandits, and we begin offering our every aspect of present and future destiny at the feet of Guru Dev, so that in completeness, the administration of Raja Raam is on the lines of Raja Raam the Great, whose glory has been sung in the Vedas, in the Ramayan, and throughout the ages. Please invite the Vedic Pandits.’

Dr Feldman: 'Jai Guru Dev. It is a great joy and a supreme honour in the presence of Maharaja Nader Raam, when preparing to offer gratitude to Guru Dev, on this most auspicious day, to invite the Vedic Pandits of India, so that every offering is in terms of the Vedic expressions, the expressions of the Constitution of the Universe.

‘So, dear Vedic Pandits of India, please help us, through the Vedic chanting that will take our offering to the lotus feet of Shri Guru Dev. With your presence, we will begin, and every aspect of the present and future offering will be done at the feet of Guru Dev. This will guide the destiny of all mankind in all completeness, so that the administration of Raja Raam is in the lines of Raja Raam the Great, whose glory is sung in the Veda, in the Ramayana, throughout the ages. Dear Vedic Pandits of India, please begin the performance.’

Global Puja was then performed.

Maharishi: 'Jai Guru Dev. Jai Guru Dev. Jai Guru Dev. With this humble, very humble, very humble feelings of world consciousness offering at the feet of Guru Dev, we are entering in the field of absolute, eternal admiration to the eternal silence that rules the universe. We are entering into the domain of the eternal administrator of the universe, the Will of God, so that we nourish our Being with that eternal silent administrative power of Veda to display its blissful, eternally elevating administrator of absolute silence, so that the ocean of silence guides and rules over every activity of the individual and every nation in our world to display that master management, master administration of total Natural Law, the Constitution of the Universe, the Veda, for all coming time.

‘This is our fortune today—to have the opportunity to enter into the open door of eternal silence. And these three days of silence will come out with all will be soaked in the eternal administration of silence of Raja Raam. That is going to be our fortune of silence, when we open silence and start administering our world's daily destiny in that most fortunate direction where Natural Law, total Natural Law—its full blossom—will be the guiding light of every incoming and outgoing breath of our single individual life in our world and the life of every nation in our world family.

‘All Glory to Guru Dev. Jai Guru Dev. Jai Guru Dev. Jai Guru Dev.

‘After three days of silence, we will open the door of eternal silence and begin to radiate that authority, that dignity, that grandeur, that fulfilment of administration through silence. Jai Jai Jai Guru Dev.'
