Opening Remarks

Maharishi: ‘Jai Guru Dev. Yes, take the questions from the press. Now the time of speaking seems to be over. We are busy creating the source of all good news. The twenty-four countries that we have mentioned to the press are all quickly rising to the level of invincibility on the basis of their national consciousness rising to a high level of integration.

‘The word “sovereignty” has not been enough. It has become a laughing stock today. Now the dignity of every country will be known in terms of invincibility. In his introductory remarks, Dr Hagelin has beautifully expressed that groups practicing Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying, the advanced technique of Transcendental Meditation, will create integrated national consciousness.

‘I fully endorse what Dr Hagelin has mentioned today: the governments now have a chance of continuing their regime, not through election after election, but through the good will of the people. The people will admire prevention-oriented administration from the existing governments, at least in these twenty-four countries now, and then in the groups of twelve countries that we add every two or three months.

‘Before the end of the year, there will be a huge amount of coherence in world consciousness. As Dr Hagelin has already mentioned, through the conflicting values of election after election and election after election, people have the chance to throw out the government after each election. All that mockery of the governments will cease to be, and the reality of lasting prevention-oriented governments will come about. This is going to happen now.

‘The door has been knocked upon, and it is about to open. It is only a matter of a few weeks or some little time before these twenty-four countries will begin to emit the signs of coherence, integration, fulfilment, freedom from problems, and invincibility to every nation. It is beautiful.

‘When I started the movement fifty years ago, I had not thought it would take such a long time—fifty years. But it does not matter; those fifty years have passed. Now we have that time, for which the movement was started fifty years ago, which was was to unfold the inner potentiality of each individual. Because each individual is a unit of a nation, it ended up proving the target of the movement—that the nations are going to rise now.

‘Dr Hagelin, give the press the opportunity to ask questions, if there are any. There should not be any questions, but if there are, it will be a joy to answer them.’ 

Question: Peace Palaces Provide an Influence of Peace

Dr Hagelin: ‘Jai Guru Dev. Thank you very much, Maharishi, for that beautiful introduction. There is a beautiful question on the role of Peace Palaces to raise our cities and countries to invincibility. A question from many of the press is: How will these beautiful, marble-clad Peace Palaces provide an influence of peace, harmony, and problem-free administration to the cities of the world?’ 

Maharishi: ‘Tell them about how the total brain functions during the practice of Transcendental Meditation, and that when the people practice in groups then the group influence is many more times than the single, single meditators. These Peace Palaces are to bring the people of peace from everywhere and to give them an opportunity in an atmosphere, a place of knowledge, that is all about peace.

‘Administration through peace is the characteristic quality of the Constitution of the Universe. The Constitution of the Universe is a function of Total Natural Law. Total Natural Law is always peaceful. So this beautiful functioning together creates a very great and intense influence of harmony and integration. This is how integrated peace will be manufactured by those who will be making use of these halls and places of meditation in the Peace Palaces.

‘A Peace Palace is symbol of the home for the Constitution of the Universe. “Peace Palace” is a very good name. In the Palace, peace will feel safe. As long as peace is in a peaceful place, it will perpetuate peace by its own nature. These Peace Palaces are a blessing to every city and every country now.’

Question: Yogic Flyers and Perfect Administration

Dr Hagelin: ‘Thank you very much, Maharishi. There are more such practical questions, but this question is a fairly deep question of knowledge. Maharishi recently spoke about the structuring dynamics of the Constitution of the Universe, the eternal flow within the Unified Field from infinity to a point and point to infinity, which gives rise to the infinite diversity of the universe. Maharishi also spoke about how these structuring dynamics will soon be brought to the level of national administration by establishing groups of Yogic Flyers in every country. My first question is how will these groups of Yogic Flyers bring the structuring dynamics of the Constitution of the Universe to the surface level of human government?’

Maharishi: ‘The whole field of behaviour is run by the conscious mind. So when the conscious mind is in full attunement with the inexhaustible source of peace, then the behaviour of the mind in the field of the relative will have a peaceful characteristic. Peace is the nature of the mind. The people have only to see it.

‘Now the time is arriving when Dr Hagelin will be ruling the field of politics and economics. The time has almost come. It is a matter of Dr Hagelin starting to speak from that level of silence where his speech will be omnipresent, omniscient, and on the level of omnipotence. This is the great hero of the time that is going to bring Heaven on Earth—peacefully landing on earth, gliding on earth. The reign of peace is about to dawn.

‘All these fifty years have been the days when the foundation was being created, and now Peace Palaces are going to rise to host peace. The time has changed. The time now is for science to rule the world, scientific reality to rule the world, the unified field to rule the world, the eternal field of silence to rule the world from the infinity of silence to the point of silence. This is the dynamism of that silence ruling—a move from infinity to point. This is the area of the unmanifest, transcendental field, which is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. The Light of God is going to reign in the world. Peace is going to reign in the world.

‘Tell the world press of the following of your scientific discoveries. Scientists are still busy with their test tube science of olden times. But Dr Hagelin has picked up the master scientist minds in all the most important countries of the world, and they are going to rule their countries. They are all going to be together in a spirit of the Unified Field in order to be a unified family of nations. They will create a world of peace. They will create a world of peaceful coexistence—peaceful invincibility to every nation. When every nation is on the level of invincibility, every nation will be perpetually set on the level of peace. This is what will be in the reign of the scientists in the world today led by the greatest and most fortunate scientist of this scientific age, Dr John Hagelin.

‘Dr Hagelin, you will not be able to speak for yourself. You can invite the Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace to display your new roll of rulership in the world, rulership of peace.’

Question: Maharishi’s Message for the Youth

Mr Max: ‘We have another question from the press, which has to do with the fact that this weekend there will be an unprecedented pilgrimage from throughout the entire United States and all over the world to Maharishi Vedic City and Maharishi University of Management. Over a thousand will assemble at Maharishi University of Management for a national conference entitled “Exploring the Frontiers of Consciousness, Creativity, and the Brain”. They will hear from renowned filmmaker Dr. David Lynch, from Dr. John Hagelin, and from other scientists of Maharishi University of Management, who will speak about the infinite potential of the human mind, and how development of total brain functioning and the full potential of consciousness is the basis of inner fulfillment and outer permanent peace for the world.

‘The question for Maharishi is: Do you have a particular message that you would like to convey to all these young people who are coming to your university to gain this profound knowledge? What should they know? What should they learn that they do not already know?’

Maharishi: ‘They should know that they should learn something that is within themselves—their own consciousness, whose total potential is hidden from view. Their world is a world of sensory perception. Now they have to close the eyes and face the reality of their own existence, their own intelligence, their own self-referral Unified Field in their own Transcendental Consciousness. This is what they have to know, they have to be, and they have to use in their lives.

‘They are fortunate to be in this generation where Transcendental Consciousness is going to be the conscious ruler of their actions, the conscious manager of their perceptions. This is going to be the reality of life. That, which is hidden from view, they will unfold through
Transcendental Meditation and bring out into the field of the relative.

‘The whole field of relativity is just a matter of opinion. The reality is transcendental, self-referral consciousness, bliss consciousness, invincible consciousness—coherence in the field of consciousness. Now, the world is going to be a world ruled by that reality which has been transcendental so far.
