Celebrating the Global Inauguration of Maharishi's Fourth Year of Invincibility -
12 January 2011
On Wednesday, 12 January 2011, the Global Country of World Peace held its annual grand, global celebration inaugurating Maharishi's Fourth Year of Invincibility - Global Raam Raj. The celebration was held at the International Capital of the Global Country in MERU, Holland, connected via video conference with the Global Capital of World Peace at the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India. National celebrations were also held in Maharishi Invincibility Centres* around the world.
The celebration honoured the supreme achievements of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, whose knowledge and practical programmes of total Natural Law are transforming the world to be Raam Raj, Heaven on Earth. It began with special Vedic recitations by Maharishi Vedic Pandits at the Brahmasthan.
The celebration in the Brahmasthan of India was honoured by the auspicious presence of the Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, Himalayas, Bhagwan Shankaracharya Vasudevanand Saraswati Maharaj, a great spiritual leader who is revered throughout India. The Shankaracharya addressed the assembly, praising Maharishi's extraordinary achievements in bringing the knowledge and technologies for awakening the total Vedic wisdom of Natural Law throughout the world.
Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam**, honoured by Maharishi as First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, then expressed his great esteem and deep appreciation for the beautiful address by the Shankaracharya honouring Maharishi. Maharaja upheld the Shankaracharya's theme of honouring Maharishi's lifelong achievements.
Maharishi left the field of pure silence, Maharaja said, where the Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math now resides and administers, 'to go out to the world with one feeling, that bliss is the nature of life. Life is unbounded pure Being—coming from bliss, moving in bliss, merging into bliss, emerging from bliss. And that knowledge he has spread and has touched us all; and we are filled with that pure Being, that we have experienced the unbounded wholeness of Brahm, Totality within ourselves, and we see it growing in all societies in every country in the world.
'In celebrating that bliss today,' Maharaja said, 'we could not imagine that it could be made bigger and taken to its supreme level', through the presence of the great Shankaracharya, the 'supreme custodian of the Vedic tradition' of knowledge. The speech of the Shankaracharya enlivened total Natural Law through his profound, melodious recitation of the sounds of the Veda, Maharaja said—everyone felt 'transported back in time to the eternity of time'—and he expressed appreciation for the Shankaracharya's blessings and guidance 'for the whole world to rise to its true nature of bliss consciousness.
'Indeed, Maharishi has brought this message to all nations, to all individuals, to all belief systems, to all races,' Maharaja said. Maharishi has shown that this 'pure knowledge, which is vibrant and lively in the remote Himalayas, in the pure context of pure Being, where . . . the Shankaracharya resides and administers—that purity of the experience that one can feel there, that supreme level of bliss that we have experienced, enlivened today—it is a seed within every individual.'
That seed is only waiting to be enlivened and awakened for all its fruits, Maharaja said, 'as it grows to become a whole tree of enlightenment and pure Being, and gives all the fruits of bliss, prosperity, goodness, intelligence, and creativity; and removal of suffering, and elimination of crime and conflicts between nations.
'From the remote Himalayas to the hearts of people in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York; in Europe, Africa, Asia, and everywhere—that oneness of life, that eternal, universal reality of pure Being, unbounded, immortal, infinite, is there in everyone. Every individual born on earth has that gift of Natural Law. All he needs is to close the eyes and practise Transcendental Meditation, and discover himself . . . to be unbounded.
'Whatever the colour of the skin, whatever the profession, whatever the belief system . . . no matter how he wakes up to go to his job, or [has] inspiration to make a painting or play an instrument, or take care of patients, or think of some complex theoretical physics—everyone in every walk of life, the taxi driver, the person waiting on the door of a hotel, everywhere—every individual, when awakened to his reality, finds that infinite bliss, that unbounded pure Being.
'Maharishi gave us all the technology to create that reality, not only on the individual level, but how to make it happen on the level of the entire society, nations, and the whole world.'
The knowledge and technologies of Maharishi's Vedic Science have not only allowed people of all cultures and all walks of life around the world to awaken to their own inner reality of infinite bliss in the field of pure consciousness, Maharaja said. This knowledge has also been translated into all languages—just as today's 12 January celebration, including the beautiful address of the Shankaracharya, was being translated simultaneously into many languages, and enjoyed by people around the world—'showing the effectiveness, the true universality of this knowledge and experience', Maharaja said.
'Maharishi not only spoke the languages of the world that are considered speech languages,' he continued, 'but he spoke the language of arts, the language of science, the language of physics and chemistry, the language of economics and defence.
'And all these languages, in every language he has shown that there is one source of infinite potential, infinite creativity, infinite wisdom, infinite wealth, infinite health, infinite peace, pure Being that when [it is] enlivened in every individual and in society, life on Earth can be lived like life in Heaven.'
Maharaja expressed appreciation for the great respect shown by the Shankaracharya for Maharishi and his teaching; and for his call for everyone to realize all of Maharishi's plans and programmes to create an ideal state of life everywhere on earth. 'We pledge to him, and to all our world, that with one thought, one purpose, one heart, one fulfilled group' of individuals who have had the good fortune to receive Maharishi's wisdom, who honour the Vedic Tradition of knowledge, 'that fullness of the infinite ocean of pure Being, that radiates everywhere, to create a heavenly life on Earth.'
Maharaja honoured Maharishi's establishment of the Global Country of World Peace as the administration of Brahm—wholeness, Totality (total Natural Law), Raam. Maharaja was referring to Maharishi's Absolute Theory of Government; commenting on the Ramayan in the Vedic Literature, Maharishi explains that Raam, the ancient ruler of the ideal society of Ayodhya, is 'Brahm, Totality, the embodiment of transcendental reality, the ultimate goal of life. The administration in which no one suffers is hailed as the administration of Raam.***
Maharishi established the Global Country of World Peace to realize this high ideal for the world through the administration of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam. Also referring to his discovery, under Maharishi's guidance, of Veda and the Vedic Literature in Human Physiology, Maharaja described Maharishi's achievement in enabling everyone to enjoy, through his Vedic Science and technologies of consciousness, 'the reality of Raam as being a living aspect within our own mind, heart, and Being, and even within our own physiology—that the whole Ramayan is taking place in the body of everyone, . . .
'In the heart of everyone, in the brain of everyone, in the entire system of functioning of the physiology of everyone is displayed Ramayan—is displayed Veda and Vedic Literature . . . . Veda and Vedic Literature is the scientific expression of the Laws of Nature that vibrate in their Being, that make their cells, their tissues, and their organs interact with each other in perfect harmony and in balance, and allow the nervous system to be open to all its structures, weaving around all these fibres—so that it works in a holistic way, bringing out all the reserves that are hidden, and exploding out in waves of fullness and creativity, bliss, and harmony.'
Maharaja said we are celebrating with feelings of joy, duty, and fullness of life 'that message from the Vedic tradition of knowledge that is so securely maintained today' through Maharishi's worldwide organizations—'the tradition of the Veda, and of the great Maharishi Vedic Pandits who chant the Veda, the expressions of Natural Law, and enliven it in the world'.
Maharaja again expressed his high esteem and gratitude for the presence at the celebration in India of the Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, saying that he represents and embodies the Vedic tradition 'in his Being, in his speech, and in his fullness'.
Addressing his concluding remarks to the Shankaracharya, Maharaja said, 'The waves of bliss are going to go on and on, . . . vibrating in the lives of the people,' and that this special day will be remembered for all time.' A video was shown of a beautiful address by Maharishi from 12 January 1980, in which he gave a profound discourse on the structure of pure knowledge.
In the video, Maharishi said, 'We feel the need for all mankind, at all times, is essentially the need for knowledge—need for pure knowledge, where all the tree of knowledge is available. Knowledge in so many different values—through the eyes, how many things we see; through the ears, how much we hear—all the five senses, the roads of experience, huge enormous, everything can't even be experienced. If we go on running through every channel of senses, it's not possible have it. Such an unfathomable field of experience, it can't be completely fathomed by experiencing one after the other.
'What we want is to open the gates of all experience at any time, all experience at all times, for the whole mankind. Use of total potential of Natural Law, we have to make available for every activity of every man, and lay a foundation for every generation to have this, so that everyone is always fulfilled. So, this need of mankind for pure knowledge we have to fulfil.'
Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Maharishi's programmes worldwide, speaking from India, summarized Maharishi's address following the video. He also welcomed the Shankaracharya with great respect, along with all the administrators at the celebration in India, including Dr Girish Varma, director of Maharishi's Programmes in India.
